It all started as they discovered that they had another common ground: fine jewelry. The inspiration began about six months ago, as the ladies made time outside of work to chat about their passion for pieces that made up the personal collections they love. Says Ross, “We realized that so much of our passion was traveling and collecting fine pieces of jewelry.” Naturally, the next step was to combine their expertise and offer these vintage pieces to the world. “Over the years, our friends and family have really valued our taste and judgment in fine jewelry. So, we created an ecommerce platform that is a representation of who we are, the aesthetic that we like and the curation of Estate jewelry for which we literally scoured the US and parts of Europe,” continues Ross.
One of the most approachable aspects of RoseRoss is the wide range of price points, which runs from $150 to $35,000. The novice buyer can find an Estate piece at an entry level price, while the more seasoned collector may pay up to thirty-five thousand for a piece. “We want people to get comfortable with our site, to get comfortable with the buying process and to let people know that we’re like a girlfriend – a phone call or click away – to guide them through the buying process,” explains Cummins.
It goes without saying that the founders’ expert eyes and ability to uncover the world’s finest pieces feeds their passion to aid buyers find what suits him or her perfectly. According to Ross, “There’s nothing more personal and more glamorous than a beautiful piece of jewelry. We realize that fine jewelry – particularly estate jewelry – is one of a kind, and really represents who the buyer is.”
