There’s a new Executive Chef in town at Hotel Vitale’s Restaurant Americano. His name is Josua Perez (yes that’s the spelling of his name but he prefers Josh). If his name sounds familiar, that’s because he has worked as Americano’s Sous Chef before taking the reins as Executive Chef in June, 2014. On August 21, Josh showcased a few new items to come on the Americano menu at a special Media Luncheon, where guests were able to experience Josh’s take on his seasonal favorites. Some of the fabulous vegetarian highlights included the Heirloom tomato and watermelon salad, feta, arugula, poppyseed vinaigrette; the fried green tomatoes with smoked onion coriander aioli; and who can forget dessert? The Olive Oil Cake is worth a second trip back!
