James’s Top Runway Trends:

Texture and curls

“We saw a lot of curls incorporated into looks this season from. For some of the shows we curled each model, however, many shows casted models specifically for their naturally curly hair . “This trend is all about understanding your texture and learning to use products to bring out the best texture.”

Shapes and Cuts

“We saw an 80s influence in shapes and cuts. This is an easy translation from runway to a real everyday look. Shorter crops leaving a bit of length in the back like on Edie Campbell is a great way to make an 80’s cut look modern.”

Product to use:

“Styling for this depends on the cut, but Oribe Creme for Style is great for a little texture without looking too heavy. The curl trend also crosses over into this area. For those with straight hair, it may be time to research perms again to get a little movement, if you’re feeling adventurous.”

Accessories:

“We saw a lot of designers incorporate hair accessories into a look.  Accessories are a great way to play up the hair and make it fun. Many shows this season featured hair accessories in them and it is all about placement and keeping it fun.”
