We can all use little juj from time to time, and there is no where better place to get a boost than beauty one-stop-shop Sephora. Kenya Garrett, Sephora San Francisco’s Education & Talent Elevation Lead, is a five-year veteran who serves as an instructor for in-house beauty classes while ensuring cast members are trained in every product category. With hundreds of products to choose, it can be easy to get lost in the world of winter beauty. Here, Kenya helps us navigate the Sephora landscape with these three beauty boosting tips.
1. I like to recommend that my clients research different looks, and play a bit with what they’re interested in adding to their beauty look so they feel less stressed and feel more confident and comfortable with stepping out. Sephora’s Beauty Board is a great resource for inspiration. It’s a gallery on Sephora.com or our Sephora To Go App that showcases different beauty looks created by real people, along with a list of products they used that you can shop from the site. It lets you search in different ways, like by specific product or people that have similar features, so you can get a sense of what it will look like on you.
2. Sephora also offers a wide array of services, like our complimentary mini-makeovers, where you can try a new look with a certified artist in a fun and supportive atmosphere. I also highly recommend attending one of Sephora’s beauty classes. These are complimentary group classes for our Beauty Insiders and signing up for Beauty Insider is free! You are taught different looks, like contouring or smoky eyes, step-by-step by the best experts in store. They coach you through the process until you master it.
3. I like to recommend to my clients that at least twice a year, like at the beginning of the year and on your birthday, you make an appointment for either one of our Custom Makeovers or a Personalized Beauty Consultation. You get time allotted just for you, and are able to get tips and product recommendations from an unbiased expert, who will take into account your personality, lifestyle, and concerns. Doing this twice a year is not only fun, but keeps your look fresh with the guidance of a professional.
