Event: Cheese Happy Hour with Nicasio Valley Cheese Company

Place: Parallel 37, inside the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco
This Friday, August 14th, Parallel 37 invites cheese enthusiasts for a memorable happy hour experiencing the prize-winning cheeses of Nicasio Valley Cheese Company. Nicasio Valley Cheese Company’s many award-winning cheeses include Foggy Morning, soft with a subtle tang and an American Cheese Society winner; the soft-ripening and nutty Loma Alta, a Gold medal winner at the California State Fair; and Nicasio Square, their first washed-rind cheese redolent of a Taleggio and bestowed the 2011 Good Food Award.
The event will take place in the Private Dining Room and communal tables area of the restaurant, and will include wine pours from a California winery, plus house-made additions by Chef Michael Rotondo including regional organic jams and preserves, lavash, brioche, sourdough, charcuterie and pâte de fruit. Rick Lafranchi of Nicasio Valley Cheese Company will present and educate guests about the cheeses throughout the evening.
