A chilly, windy evening couldn’t stop San Francisco’s “it” crowd from attending the Fashion and Philanthropy party hosted by Wilkes Bashford and Luxetigers on December 10 at the Pier 2620 Hotel. The cocktail event, co-hosted by Aubrey Brewster, Doug Wagner and Angella Sprauve, was held to raise awareness and funds for the San Francisco LGBT Center.
Upon arrival inside the Pier 2620 Hotel EvenKeel lounge, guests were treated to cocktails, bites and fashion by models donning a range of pieces from the Wilkes Bashford boutique. Female models worked the room wearing pieces from Valentino, Missoni, Brunello Cucinelli and Derek Lam, while the men mingled in attire from Zegna, Brunello Cucinelli, and Brioni. The turnout included a fantastic mix of socialites, style aficionados and members of the SF Chronicle and SF Wire, who were all on hand to support the LGBT Center.
Wilkes Bashford was also in attendance and noted how much he enjoyed his experience at the cocktail event. He had the opportunity to tour the hotel and was impressed by the hotel’s newly renovated rooms, which are a modern mix of reclaimed components and cutting edge design elements with a nostalgic nod the world of shipping and the port of San Francisco.
Following a lively cocktail hour were speeches from event sponsors Pier 2620 Hotel and the LGBT Center, as well as a raffle for amazing prizes that included a Wilkes Bashford gift certificate and a 2-night stay at Pier 2620 Hotel. After the closing remarks, guests were wow’d when Aubrey Brewster, San Francisco’s man about town and generous philanthropist, donated $1000.00 to the LGBT center. Finally, guests walked away with fabulous gift bags stuffed with goodies from local sponsors that included Wilkes Bashford, Pat Areis, Green + Glam, Salon Miel, LaFace Skincare and Pier 2620 Hotel.
