Sunny skies and the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe served as a stunning backdrop for the annual luncheon and fashion show featuring the Oscar De La Renta Resort 2016 Collection. Bay Area socialites and stylistas were eagerly anticipating the August 1st event presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and The League to Save Lake Tahoe, as this was Peter Copping’s inaugural year in attendance as Creative Director of Oscar de la Renta since the designer’s passing last year.
Held at the Schumacher Family estate on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, the tradition dates back to the late sixties when designer Bill Blass started showing his collection to a few loyal clients and friends at Lake Tahoe. Now in its 46th year, it has evolved into a widely anticipated fundraising event for the League to Save Lake Tahoe. The sold-out event welcomed over 600 guests and made a record-breaking amount for The League collecting over $860,000.
