It was a night to remember on Saturday, May 13 at The Palace Hotel as Rafael House celebrated their 20th anniversary gala with a Wizard of Oz themed bash appropriately dubbed, There’s No Place Like Home.
Guests included the ‘it list’ of the San Francisco social scene who came dressed in the very best tuxedos and couture to raise money in support of Rafael House’s mission to ‘help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity.’
The event began with a cocktail hour where guests sipped on specialty drinks and fine wine while mingling, snapping photos and browsing a silent auction filled with uniquely curated, ‘wine-centric’ gift packages.
A delicious 3-course dinner and live auction followed giving everyone the opportunity to bid on amazing luxury travel and experience items, including a golfer’s dream vacation at Pebble Beach with lessons by renowned golfer Laird Small, an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at a Warriors basketball game with head ESPN producer Tim Corrigan, and a week-long holiday for 10 at a private, luxury villa in Umbria, Italy. There were also a number of other fabulous items featured in the auction which raised thousands of dollars in support of Rafael House’s comprehensive family programs that have helped to transform the lives of parents and children in San Francisco for over 45 years!
The night capped off with champagne, sweet treats and dancing in the ballroom of The Palace Hotel, marking a picture perfect ending to a truly memorable night that raised thousands to help Rafael House continue transforming the lives of parents and children in San Francisco!
