It was the ultimate power-trip: an invite-only, 36-hour summit of the today’s most influential girl-bosses. On March 21, Marie Claire chartered an all-female powered JetBlue flight from New York City straight to San Francisco, where the most powerful women in tech, media, fashion, entertainment and policy converged at the W San Francisco Hotel for an unrivaled networking event before heading back to New York City on March 22.
Power Trip panel members included Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Anne Fulenwider; Drew Barrymore; Gwyneth Paltrow; Tyra Banks; Tracee Ellis Ross; Hamilton Producer, Jill Furman; CEO of Rent the Runway, Jennifer Hyman; founder of ClassPass, Payal Kadakia; Executive Producer of Saturday Night Live, Lindsay Shookus; CEO of Beautycon, Moj Mahdara; Youtube star, Bethany Mota and Lauren Bush.
The summit consisted of four panels including every woman a boss, a brand, a feminist and a disruptor. Attendees enjoyed drinks Monday night at the house of Xochi Birch, co-founder of Bebo and The Battery, and were then whisked away to dinner prepared at William Sonoma by award-winning female chefs.
Sponsors who made the Power Trip possible include JetBlue, W Hotels, Dell and Intel, Tacori and Shiseido.
