Since 1954, Lifehouse has opened the doors of opportunity and independence to people with developmental disabilities with services tailored to each individual’s needs, goals and desires. The non-profit organization currently provides personalized support services to over 250 individuals with developmental disabilities in Marin and Sonoma Counties.
On Saturday, April 16th, Lifehouse will host their 26th Annual “Great Chefs & Wineries” Benefit at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael. The gala is the agency’s major fundraising event to benefit individuals with developmental disabilities. Last year’s event brought in more than half a million dollars.
The gala will be hosted by three long-time Lifehouse supporters: Honorary chair, Musician Huey Lewis; Culinary Host, Insalata’s Chef Heidi Insalata Krahling; and wine committee chair, Sid Sall.
Emceed by “Foodie Chap” Liam Mayclem, the gala will feature culinary creations and wines from more than 50 of the Bay Area chefs and wineries, a silent and live auction, a raffle sponsored by Stephan-Hill Jewelry Designers, a private concert from special musical guest Evolution – The Ultimate Tribute to Journey, and a musical performance starring Lifehouse clients.
Lifehouse President and CEO, Nancy Dow Moody, remarked, “We are thankful to our Great Chefs & Wineries guests. Their generosity allows us to continue providing services that enable the people we serve to live independently while enriching our community.”
Reservations for Great Chefs & Wineries are required. Tickets are $325 per person and table sponsorships start at $3,500. Tickets are available at www.greatchefsandwineries.org or by calling (415) 526-5300.
