The breezy air of summertime means short days, loads of play and the season of a quintessential American pastime, baseball. On the evening of July 8th, Francis Ford Coppola Winery brought baseball fans to the next level at “Diamond on the Diamond”, an invite-only event held at the Virgin America Loft at McCovey Cove.
Wine enthusiasts and baseball lovers gathered inside the VIP suite for an evening of wine, baseball and good times. Guests had the chance to experience the Coppola Diamond Collection while watching the San Francisco Giants play the Arizona Diamondbacks from the rarely-seen vantage point. Throughout the game, guests mingled with the Coppola winemaking team and learned about the wines of the Diamond Collection.
This premium collection of wines is made from grapes grown in vineyards across California, from coastal regions to inland valleys. As Mr. Coppola puts it, the collection is the “pride of the company.”
The Francis Ford Coppola Winery, which encompasses all of the things Francis loves most – cinema, wine, food, resorts, and adventure – is anchored in Sonoma County. Francis describes it as “a wine wonderland, a park of pleasure where people of all ages can enjoy all the best things in life: food, wine, music, dancing, games, swimming and performances of all types. A place to celebrate the love of life.”
