Home About town 5 Last-Minute New Year’s Eve Celebrations in San Francisco

Still don’t have a plan to ring in the New Year? Here are 5 New Year’s Eve celebrations in San Francisco that are still available. But hurry! Seating, mat space or room capacity is limited!

Whatever your pleasure, San Francisco has got it.  From the SF Symphony to yoga to dinner to a fabulous party, these five New Year’s Eve celebrations are still available…for now, anyway.  Who knows – if you plan carefully, you may be able to enjoy five celebrations in one night!  Happy New Year!

1.  Celebrate with the San Francisco Symphony and Seth MacFarlane

Time:  8:00pm

Location: Davies Symphony Hall

Cost: $115.00 per person for premium, 2nd Tier

He’s an Academy and Grammy award nominated singer, songwriter, actor, producer and director. Ladies and gentlemen: Seth MacFarlane! With plenty of star power to go around, MacFarlane lights up the stage in this concert of Broadway and jazz hits with the San Francisco Symphony, just for New Year’s. Opening the show is vivacious diva Measha Brueggergosman, whose powerful stage presence matches “a superb voice that is capable of just about anything” (Miami Herald). The charismatic singer moves from opera to pop to soulful jazz just as effortlessly as she captivates audiences. Catch the most exciting New Year’s concert in town, led by spirited conductor Edwin Outwater, and still have time for the fireworks. Celebrate with the San Francisco Symphony!

2.  NYE Dinner Destination:  Gaspar Brasserie

Time:  Select seatings between 5:30pm and 9:30pm.

Cost: $75 – $95
If you’re looking to ring in the new year with a delectable dinner, then look no further than Gaspar Brasserie.  Inspired by the romantic bustling Paris of old, the eatery has created a 4-course menu including brandy scented poached lobster, traditional holiday white sausage with shaved black truffle, and more. We checked, and seating is still available between 5:30 and 9:30pm tonight (assuming you hurry!).
Time: 10:00 pm – 11:55 pm
Location:  Yoga Tree Castro
Cost:  $40.00
Time to light it up, burn it off, and let it go.  Join Yoga Tree’s own Mark Morford & DJ Hyfi for a night of delicious Vinyasa yoga, sweat, music, release and celebration as we welcome in the new year right. It’s a two-hour prayer in motion. It’s a deep breath of gratitude. It’s a big, gorgeous, open-throated yoga practice/party, a blessing set to music, open to all levels (absolute beginners, please check with us first), as we set some deep intention for the coming year. Got something you’ve been clinging onto a bit too tightly? Something clinging on to you?
There will be great music. There will be vigorous asana. There will be fire and lasers and a giant water slide featuring bioluminescent unicorns dancing on the heads of angels (permits pending). Either way, it’s sure to be a night to remember.
